Bruce:

All right. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Bruce from the Ugly Quacking Duck and we are live. Say hi, we're with Lily.

Sunny:

Hi, hi, don't forget me, bruce, hi, lily.

Bruce:

Hi Hello, we weren't going to forget you, sonny. And hi, lily again, and we're welcoming you to the first. I think this is your first live, isn't it?

Bruce:

yeah okay, cool. Well, the. The purpose is to hopefully bring some local people in, involving them in the live. So you know we're going to have to get it going smoothly and get some advertising to local people, because that's the plan and if it works out maybe we'll have more people involved, and right now it's just kind of a practice. Yeah, but if this works, then that recording that I make off of this will be a part of the regular recording. So, yay, and I've used riverside. This time we did podbean. The first time I did it alive, I didn't have any guests come in, so it worked out good. The second, second time I tried Podbean, I had a caller come in, mark, and it had a real bad echo. Come to find out I was having trouble with the laptop and I was having trouble with when I hit to monitor on my computer it made it echo really bad. So I don't know what was going on. But I've tried riverside and it seemed um, pretty nice, seemed like it was working good.

Sunny:

So we're gonna hang out with that and see what happens yeah, we're gonna hang out with Bruce and see how bad he can mess it up.

Lily:

Wow, wow. Well, we're not gonna say Bruce anymore, we're gonna say Brooke. How about it's gonna be Brooke this time? Sonny, it's been Brooke.

Bruce:

I heard that. I want you to know. I heard that.

Sunny:

Oh, you poor thing, Brooke.

Bruce:

Okay, well, anyhow, yeah, anyway, this is episode 102 being recorded after the live show goes out. We had something exciting happen in the family. I want to announce that right off the bat.

Lily:

Is it what I think it is?

Bruce:

Probably right off the bat, is it what I think it is? Probably last friday I was at work and I received this video on my phone. Um, this is friday morning and I received a video from my family up in washington and it was a picture, a video actually, of a new baby. So I've got wow, that motorcycle is loud, I've got a new. That's one thing I like about this uh weather we're having. We got the windows open.

Lily:

It's fresh air, pretty nice and there's raw noises from the window yeah, a lot of.

Bruce:

We're right next to the highway, so we experienced that last summer, if you remember, and then we put an air conditioner window. We heard that. So that's just part of our studio.

Lily:

Hey, that's just life the struggle was we had to like turn it off and on between takes in the podcast we did, but that's, you know, part of being, uh, just a hobby type of podcasting person it's better than being in the garage, honestly.

Bruce:

Yeah, the garage is hot and cold, just according to what season it was. But anyhow, back to my story. All right, I'm jumping in my seat. Yeah, it was a picture of my new great-grandson after he'd been born.

Lily:

Is that my cousin?

Bruce:

Yeah, yeah, no, no, yeah, something'm. We'll have to figure that out, but yeah, that was cool. Yeah, it put me on top of the day.

Lily:

Man, I was all anxious and excited and bouncing around the rest of the day I was at school and I and when I I opened my phone at home because I just got home I went on snapchat and I opened it and I just saw baby yeah, it was kind of cool I was like oh yeah it was really cool, so we want to welcome philip.

Bruce:

It's a week late, philip, I'm sorry about that, but I tried to do a podcast that day and it just went south, so I'm doing it now.

Lily:

The storm's about to go south.

Bruce:

Yeah, we'll talk about that in a few minutes actually. And the moon, yeah, and earthquakes. We've got a lot of things to talk about. Phillip, welcome to the family, welcome to the world, we're glad to have you aboard. So, um, here we go, there you go. That's for philip. Wait a minute. Let's ring some bells for philip too, to announce that I can get carried away, can't I guys?

Lily:

I would do the same thing if I were you. I don't think the bells work anymore. There you go, there you go.

Bruce:

Bing, bing. All right, that was kind of a very late start to the bell and my buttons wasn't working or something, but anyhow, we have some bells, some some whistles. Do we have any whistles today?

Lily:

we can have.

Bruce:

I can do a handmade whistle if I've got some whistles, but hey, I've got, I've got stuff over here too.

Lily:

So I don't know my whistle. Where did my whistle go? I don't know where my whistle. Where did my whistle go?

Bruce:

I don't know, I didn't see.

Sunny:

I think you've lost your mind.

Bruce:

I don't see no whistle.

Sunny:

I think it's all over, dear.

Lily:

I think it ran away from me.

Bruce:

Well. I don't know. I don't know where it went. You must have threw it over there. It's not behind you, is it? Nope? I don't know where it went. You must have threw it over there. It's not behind you, is it? No, I don't know.

Lily:

I swear.

Bruce:

Weird, weird, weird, weird.

Lily:

That's very weird.

Bruce:

All right on the format. Here's the two things I wanted to do live. I was going to keep it short to about 15 minutes and then finish recording my podcast later and adding that 15 minutes on at the end.

Bruce:

But this time around I think we're just because I'm using riverside and it's got better quality than I was using before a little longer yeah, we're going to do the whole podcast today on this on this live platform, see how it records out and if it works, we may do that more often. Um, so you know, we're just going to go that route. So, oh, we want to do the local weather because we're wanting to do local, local yoko. You know what that means.

Lily:

Found it. I found my whistle.

Bruce:

Found your whistle.

Lily:

Found my whistle. You're loco I can do my whistle.

Bruce:

Yep, okay, you can do your whistle. While you're doing your whistle, I'm going to look for my weather app.

Lily:

Do I go down or up first?

Bruce:

Either way.

Lily:

There you go, Phillip.

Bruce:

That was good All for Phillip. I'll good All for Phillip. I'll have to make sure Phillip's mom's mom.

Lily:

Mom's mom.

Bruce:

Phillip's mom listens to the podcast and tells him all of it's for him. There you go. So we're dedicating this mess today and I call it a mess because every time we do a podcast it always becomes kind of tedious. Something funny happens every single time, I feel and this time we're doing live, so I can't stop it.

Lily:

Pause, go get a drink or whatever we want to do, so we're going to have to just live with I remember that one time when I brought ghosty on here a few years ago and he bumped his eye on the microphone oh yeah I could not stop laughing yeah, I think I got that one on tape though and then on the recording remember when I like just like you started off the podcast with me giggling yeah, yeah there's a lot of funny moments that I have them are good moments.

Bruce:

So they're. They're show people we're actually live and we're not um just sitting here like whoa, whoa yeah, we're not pretending we're real. We're not aliens trust okay, so uh want to talk about earthquakes let's do the earthquake thing first, and that will give me time to um, hunt up my weather map because I don't know what happened to it.

Lily:

I stuck it in here somewhere, okay, so I'm just gonna check it and see if anything changed okay, you check it, see if anything or changed or broke. Okay, okay, hold on.

Sunny:

Okay. Well, while Bruce is looking for something and Lily's over there looking for something, I'm going to talk about jokes. Are you ready for this? Here's a new dad joke. Did you hear about the wig thief who escaped from prison? Guess what happened? The police are combing the area to find him.

Bruce:

Okay, that's wonderful. Um thank you, Sonny. Um thank you, sonny oh, you're welcome.

Sunny:

You're welcome, I'm taking my bow taking the bow, taking the bow.

Lily:

Okay, I changed everything.

Bruce:

So okay so we had some changes. I take it we had to update on the earthquake report they went down, went down that means some of them rolled off it went down again.

Lily:

Okay, you know what hold on yeah, that's probably what I'm gonna look at the paper anyway, okay, so do you know last week's?

Bruce:

yeah, we need, we need to know last week, and then we have to give last week's was three, which is also the actual month, march 7th 2025.

Lily:

The total in all was 2081. Thank you for that car. We love the sound. The 2.5 plus was 262. The 4.5 plus Thank you again. The 4.5 plus was 86. What are your guesses for today, this week?

Bruce:

All right, sunny, you want to go first. You want me to? I think, I think you should go first all right, I'll go first um what was the total again for the last week or two weeks ago um 2081, so 2081 okay, I'm gonna say 2150?. Yeah, so somewhere around 2100.

Lily:

I don't know exactly how much, but Okay, let me just put your name here.

Bruce:

All right.

Lily:

Oh, I forgot some steps. There was a 6.0 and a 6.1. The 6.1 was in Chile.

Bruce:

Okay, yeah, and I'm going to turn it over to Sonny. Sonny, what do you think?

Sunny:

I think you went up, so I'm going to go down. It's going to be around 1975. That was a good year, right, bruce, you old man. Ha ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha ha, old man, ha ha, ha, ha, ha ha.

Bruce:

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha ha. What was your guess? I don't know how I want to take that. Let's see, let's help him out a little bit.

Lily:

What was your guess, Brooke? What did you guess? If you don't remember, you can change it 1975. Sonny, I said Brooke.

Sunny:

Oh, I was excited. Somebody called on me Darn it.

Lily:

It's okay, don't worry, you're good.

Bruce:

Well, my guess was 21, 2100, I think 20 2150, 2100s, somewhere in the 2150 2150 okay yeah, somewhere in I've been trying to round them off. So you know he's in the 1900s, I'm in the 2100s do you want to guess the 2.5 for the 4.5? So no, no, we'll just go on from there.

Lily:

So we're just going to based on who was closer. The total and all was 1942 wow, wow it went down a lot, I got it.

Bruce:

Oh, man, hang on, I got it.

Lily:

Even Sonny giggled a little bit himself.

Bruce:

Yeah, that was oh boy. Yeah, you know, that was close, wasn't it Sonny's?

Lily:

Yeah, yeah, he said 1975, you said 2150 and it was what.

Bruce:

19 1942 wow so we're back to like he used to do. He would guess it almost on the nose, because that's really close.

Lily:

You know this thing guess it almost on the nose, because that's really close. I want to you know this thing.

Bruce:

I've got one of those sounds.

Lily:

You can do it for Sonny, because he got it right. Well, I can do it.

Bruce:

Let me do an applause for him. Here you go, Sonny. This is for you.

Sunny:

Thank you, thank you, thank, thank you. I'm taking another bow. See, I am it, I'm the guy yeah, good job, good job.

Bruce:

I don't know how he does that so good, but but he did do that, and neither one of us has seen those earthquakes, so it went down. That's a good thing, right? So that means less, less earthquakes. Oh, and then read the numbers.

Lily:

It's 1943 now.

Bruce:

See if those went down on other numbers.

Lily:

Okay, the 2.5 was 265. So it went up like a few because the last week's was 262.

Bruce:

And.

Lily:

And the 4.5 for last week was. Last week was oh, was, oh. That's boring. What last week was 86, this week it's just 85. It just went down one. We have a 6.5. I didn't write the country that it was in because none of us would be able to pronounce it. Even if we tried, we could never get it.

Bruce:

But I can recheck again to see if there was any added ones. Well, go ahead, add it up and see what's extra.

Lily:

There's nothing. It's just the 6.5, so nothing.

Bruce:

Nothing new, huh, nothing new so where does that put us?

Lily:

Higher or lower on them?

Bruce:

There we go, I got it.

Lily:

Yeah, that's my duck call that Shannon got me. It sounds pretty good. It does sound like a duck.

Bruce:

Yeah, it does. So what did you say my dad I did? What was the 6.0s? Did you read them all?

Lily:

I read them when I was telling you the total. Oh, I thought that was for last week, no, last week we had two it was a 6.0 and a 6.1. This week we leave it at 6.5, but none of us could pronounce the state or country that it's in, so I didn't even try to put it on there.

Bruce:

If you click on it.

Lily:

I clicked on it it shows it on the map.

Bruce:

Where's it at?

Lily:

I'll have to go back.

Bruce:

If you can kind of estimate where it's at for the audience.

Lily:

It's in the middle of nowhere.

Bruce:

Okay.

Lily:

So yeah. But so, sonny, you had your own little dad joke yep, and he told it too. He's such a smart guy well, I have my own joke do you well, tell it, tell it, tell it, forrest please. Well.

Bruce:

Knock knock.

Sunny:

Who's there Me?

Lily:

me Justin.

Bruce:

Justin who.

Lily:

Justin time for breakfast.

Bruce:

Oh, wait, a minute, not bad.

Sunny:

Yeah, I know.

Bruce:

Thank you.

Lily:

My phone is killing me.

Bruce:

You just hear the clapping and then it's just molder. It's me. Yeah, that laughing was the. The applause was on my mixer box, but the laughing was on the studio stuff. So they've got neat stuff over here that I can use, which is cool.

Lily:

Yeah.

Bruce:

So I'm trying to get to the weather map. So if everybody hang on to me or hang on with me, and I'll let Lily and Sunny talk while I try to figure out what's going on, so take it away.

Lily:

So Sunny. You hear the storm that's a-brewing.

Sunny:

Yeah, we're going to talk about that weather. Let's talk about it, Hi.

Lily:

Lily, well, let me look up how it's going to be so I can, you know, get the perfect explanation to these people that live in the southern part of Illinois Weather.

Sunny:

That's what Bruce is doing.

Lily:

He's got a big storm. You know, duck, duck go isn't giving me anything but websites that probably aren't safe, so we're gonna look it up on my phone. Does that sound like like a good deal sunny?

Sunny:

well, bruce does that. He's got an app that does all that.

Lily:

Well, I have one too.

Sunny:

Okay, alright, I didn't know it was competing.

Lily:

So I'm not going to read the full article, but I will read you some parts of it. Okay, alright, I'm ready. Central Illinois there's a payment in the way, my bad. Central Illinois's there's a payment in the way, my bad. Anyway. Central Illinois's storm warning damaging winds up to 75 miles per hour and large hail possible through 7 pm tonight. Springfield, illinois. A significant severe weather outbreak is expected across Illinois starting Friday evening, bringing the threat of tornadoes, damaging winds and large hail. The National Weather Service has issued a level four moderate risk for severe storms across much of the state, partially in central and southern Illinois.

Sunny:

Wow, we're going to have fun tonight.

Lily:

So what it's telling me is where we live'm not gonna say where we live, but where we live in our small town. We're in the path of the storm, so we're gonna be like right in the middle of the storm yeah, that's what I've been hearing.

Bruce:

Uh, I had a gentleman actually come into work. I didn't tell you this, lily, but yesterday afternoon about three o'clock I had a gentleman come in, an older man, and he walked in, walked up to the counter back there in my department, kind of leaned over the counter and he said does this place sell weather radios? And I said no, I'm sorry, we don't. And he said, well, you should don't. And he said well, you should. And I said, well, why is that?

Bruce:

and he said because there's a tornado getting ready to go right through here there is and he said that and he, I said okay and kind of dismissed it and he started to walk off and he said I said, why no? I said how did you come up with that information? Because I figured he'd just been on a weather map and he's going to tell me what one. He was on Right, and he pointed up to the ceiling and said the Lord told me. And then he just walked off.

Lily:

Wow.

Bruce:

Yeah, that's. He just walked off. Wow, yeah, that's well. If you take that kind of uh information, as you know, a warning and there you go.

Lily:

I mean whatever the lord tells you.

Bruce:

Whatever the lord tells you, I have more to read okay, uh, you do your thing and then I'll do mine, but this is for our local people. That's what we do.

Lily:

Local weather for in central and yeah, we live in the midwest southern illinois and that's pertaining to that so if you're tuning in, you should probably listen a little bit just to be, just to be prepared. You can't talk, okay, according to the illinois emergency management system agency not system my bad storms are expected to begin in west central illinois around 7 pm friday and move eastward overnight. Potential hazards include wind gusts exceeding seven miles per hour, hail, larger hail larger than a ball and the possibility of multiple tornadoes. Heavy rainfall may also lead to localized flooding. Schools on Monday, tuesday, wednesday and Thursday, possibly Friday, will be canceled because of flooding and maybe possible more tornadoes, more tornadoes.

Lily:

A second wave of storms is possible Saturday afternoon in southern east Illinois, with threats including 60-plus mph winds, large hail over an inch in diameter and isolated tornadoes. Residents are urged to stay weather-aware and have a safety plan in place. And have a safety plan in place. Officials recommend securing outdoor objects, charging mobile devices and ensuring access to storm shelters if needed. Stay tuned to local weather updates and alerts for latest developments.

Bruce:

Cool. Okay, while we're talking about that, I'm going to give a shout out to the weather guy we like to watch on youtube ryan hall, y'all yep, there you go. Thank you, lily he, he.

Lily:

Really, if you can watch him at home right now, you can turn him on. He's always live. When there's like weather, he's always. I think he's like every day, for, like any state that's having a weather problem, I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter what?

Bruce:

yeah, he told told us on the one yesterday that he would probably be starting on friday night and he'd probably have to do a 36 hour. He didn't know how he was going to do that, but we watched him this morning. He was live this morning at like five six he was already live yeah yeah, we may have turned him on here, but yeah we have a question this morning.

Lily:

Remember this morning we had we had him on here. Well, that was his bot.

Bruce:

He has a bot that he programmed that actually has a live channel of its own yeah that it's pretty well on all the time, and I follow that one too.

Lily:

This is not a very nice way for a spring to say hi to us?

Bruce:

Well, no, I tell people that winter's crying out the door. It's leaving us, so we're getting rain and the people up north of us is getting snow. Wow, For the last thing.

Lily:

A hundred jobs, or like buildings, power got cut off.

Bruce:

From the storm already. From the storm already. All right, well, let's switch gears here, and I got my app up. So it's 81 degrees here and it's sunny with wind. The humidity here in southern Illinois is 37 degrees, the wind is 23 miles an hour and its air quality is 54 degrees today. Now, if we compare that to Phoenix Arizona I like to do that, so you kind of get a feel of what's going on the humidity there is 41 degrees instead of r37, so they're actually higher right now, which is kind of strange. Yeah, their winds only six miles an hour and their air quality is 26, which is great. Well, I call it great, but it's good.

Lily:

Ours is 54, which is moderate so it's actually 79, which is basically 80 degrees upside.

Bruce:

It's 84 here.

Lily:

Right now 84 here Yep. Wow.

Bruce:

Yep, and it's marked. Yeah, the winds are coming from the south 25 to 35 miles an hour at this time. Now they're talking about when them storms blow in. We're supposed to have wind gusts um hurricane level at times, so yikes yeah, this is definitely.

Lily:

this is like the last year's storm, do you? Do you remember the last year's storm? Do you remember the last?

Bruce:

year's storm. Yeah, a couple times.

Lily:

I think it's like bigger because Thank you for that.

Bruce:

They seem like they want to rev up when they go by the house, don't they Right?

Lily:

yeah, they said possibly an EF2 tornado or even higher, which is very, very odd for our Illinois state, because usually if there's tornadoes, it's like a, like a simple tiny one.

Bruce:

You know our town hasn't had one since. Well, I'm not gonna go into that, but it's been a long time, a big one, I mean I'm about to be 12 and I've never seen a tornado. I've seen like well, let's pray, that stays that way.

Lily:

Yeah let's pray that I don't have to either even see one or even be in one.

Bruce:

Oh no, I don't like that all right, I don't have anybody still trying to knock on the door, um, which is a shame there's no one here yet no one here no that's okay I wish yours was working so you could see and kind of get an adjustment of what's happening. I'm gonna have to figure out why that's not working, but we'll do that again later. Um, all right, slight bad pause it's so silent yeah, it is silent you guys are pathetic.

Sunny:

You know that I could go to sleep listening to you. You're so slow on your comments.

Lily:

Sunny, you want to know something. Let's just say that you were outside around 6 pm and we never told you anything about the storm and you saw it raining really hard and there's a big, larger than a golf ball.

Sunny:

I didn't say you were boring because of that information. You said y'all. I said because you pause so long, so long, so long.

Lily:

Now finishing my story. Wow, what if you're outside and we never even said anything?

Bruce:

about the storm and you're just. You're just a small duck.

Lily:

Um, wow, should I be saying duck?

Bruce:

I. I thought maybe he's going to explode doing that, you know.

Lily:

Yeah, me too. I saw his face getting pretty red.

Bruce:

Yeah, it looked like he was going to just into nothing.

Lily:

Into nothing.

Bruce:

Yeah.

Lily:

Into nothing. What was that? For that sounded like thunder. What was that?

Bruce:

What was that? Look at, sounded like thunder. What was that? What was that? Look at? Oh my gosh, look at Sunny. Something's going on, what's going?

Lily:

on Sunny, are you? Why is there a shining light? What's going on? Why is there a shining?

Bruce:

light. Oh, my Wait, that's not sunny. That's not sunny. What is that? That's not sunny, that's a frog.

Sunny:

That is a frog. What the heck. I told you I was an alien. You didn't believe me, man, I don't, um, I should have had the camera on.

Bruce:

I should have had the camera on.

Lily:

I should have had the camera on, there was like a bright light and Sonny was floating.

Bruce:

Yeah, I think he sucked in too much air when he was doing that thing, because what happened to you, sonny? Now he's a frog.

Sunny:

I'm morphed, I'm a morpher. Oh.

Bruce:

A morpher? Okay, that's a new one for me. New word okay, sunny, just more you're the frog.

Lily:

Yes, I did wait. Wait. He has a headset now. He's never had a headset before well, he had that one.

Bruce:

It was his mic on, but oh yeah that was weird.

Lily:

That was weird.

Bruce:

I'm freaked out, but your, your name is still sunny, right oh yeah, I'm sunny I think a little bit bigger uh, yeah, and take a picture of me real quick, okay, and we will send it to our website if you're subscribed. If you you're not subscribed, go subscribe so you can listen to this stuff live. But if you are, anyway, we're going to put a picture up there and you'll be able to see it. But that was wild. Sonny is now different. Yeah, he's a morpher, I'm a morpher. All right, we got some pictures coming and we're gonna we're gonna put them online and uh, wow, that's a first for me. You're a frog, I'm a frog, you're a frog. Okay, well, sunny was something like a duck. I wasn't sure it was a duck, sonny wasn't smiling.

Lily:

Sonny, you need to smile.

Bruce:

Oh.

Lily:

There you go.

Bruce:

He's acting weird too. He is, I don't know, but anyway we've gotten pictures of the new morphed Sonny.

Lily:

Speaking of pictures, did you guys go outside during midnight? I know some of you might have not, but I was up, I did and it was a full moon phase, which means it was a lunar eclipse, total lunar eclipse, and I got some pictures and we're going to put them up on the website.

Bruce:

Yeah, apparently that kind of eclipse that they had made the sun look red or orange.

Lily:

It went through the umbra and the pre-umbra.

Bruce:

Do you know?

Lily:

what the difference is between those.

Bruce:

No.

Lily:

So the umbra is basically a fancy word for shadow. It's a Latin word for shadow, so it's like the earth has to go in that, and then when it goes back, so then when it goes out, it's the pre-numbra. So the pre-number makes the earth I mean I mean the moon dark, so like you can't see it, and then it'll come back into the normal moon. So the umbra is totally, is part, partly blocked, and then the pre-number is totally blocked. I think, if I, if I remember correctly in science class, that's what I learned okay, well, um, we may finish the live before I post those pictures of sunny.

Bruce:

Yes, that's gonna be hard to say sunny when I'm looking at that frog at a frog because I've been used to wow. I'm blowed away I mean I, I'm starting to believe him when he says he's really an alien because a pony or a cat because he can't play in the water no more oh, that's right but he can now.

Sunny:

He can still play in the water I could, as a duck, really I could, but you're a frog yeah, yeah, ain't it great, but you can still play in the water, though.

Lily:

That's one point.

Sunny:

Yep, that's true, as long as I stay inside, because I don't have feathers to protect me in the winter. We got you.

Bruce:

We'll take care of you, Sonny. We do.

Lily:

And what's that in your hands? You have like a black cup with purple stuff in it.

Sunny:

That's my cauldron.

Lily:

So you're a witch and a frog.

Sunny:

Oh, I'm so much more.

Lily:

You're scaring me, please stop.

Bruce:

I just got weird it's very awkward much more.

Lily:

Okay, tune in next week and maybe we'll find out something different besides maybe we'll even sunny's morphing maybe we'll have even another bigger announcement coming from me don't tease us I won't, you won't get out early next friday?

Bruce:

tease us, I won't. You won't get out early next Friday, though, so we probably won't be able to do this. I can do it now, okay Shoot, or go ahead, or wait a minute. Wait a minute, let me see if I can find it.

Lily:

Just a warning. This is really big to me. So you guys know how I watch my wrestling and this is really big to me. But some people are like that's just a stupid thing, but to me it's really serious. So my favorite wrestler, rhea Ripley, held the WWE Women's Championship.

Bruce:

Women. She just got back in January.

Lily:

Women's okay, she just got back in January. She had a match, she had a.

Sunny:

No women, she had a match.

Lily:

She had a match.

Bruce:

I think he's kind of lost his mind because he's not even making sense right now. I think something needs to kind of that way he'll be back even making sense right now. Yeah, I think something needs to kind of yeah, yeah, and that that way he'll be back to making sense anyway, I always make sense anyway.

Lily:

Um, that's odd.

Bruce:

Look at me I'm low please stop, that's scary okay introducing Sonny as the nutcase in the house. I'm no longer taking that position. He's done. Stole it, go ahead.

Lily:

Lily anyway, creepy little Sonny, now not even a duck anymore, just a frog. It's not even Halloween, man, I know. I think he transformed into something that he meant to transform into Halloween.

Bruce:

Yeah, he didn't do it. Maybe that's why he's been so cranky, yeah maybe Anyway, tell your story.

Lily:

So she had a match. I think it was this month or maybe last month, I don't remember Orton beat last month. I don't remember. It's just so upsetting. Oh, grandma just texted me.

Bruce:

Well, that's cool.

Lily:

She lost it.

Bruce:

She lost it.

Lily:

She lost her championship because EO Sky beat her. So that's not the big announcement. The big announcement is scrolling through Facebook. Last night I saw a triple threat match is going to happen at WrestleMania. And I saw a triple threat match is going to happen at WrestleMania and it's against the new championship winner, io Sky, rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair. They all have.

Bruce:

I don't know any of those names.

Lily:

They all have beef with each other, it's just.

Bruce:

Oh, so they're fighting in between each other.

Lily:

Right, so a triple threat match is no one on the same team, they're just between each other. Right so a triple threat matches no one on the same team, they're just fighting each other when's that going to happen?

Bruce:

wrestlemania 41, which is april 19th to the 20th 21st 21st you still owe me and the audience a story about your wrestlemania. Yeah, that you went to. When was that? February, january. February 1st and yeah, we never got you back on here, was it fun?

Lily:

it was very fun. Um, I was shocked because John Cena came back. John Cena was back. He came back for this. He almost won and the whole entire crowd was like so silent when he got kicked out. And then Jey Uso won which? And the whole entire crowd was so silent when he got kicked out. And then Jey Uso won, which is the main event. Jey Uso, I don't get why he's called main event. I mean I don't know, I don't get it. And then Charlotte Flair won it.

Bruce:

Charlotte Flair won the Women's world royal rumble, so, yeah, okay, so you enjoyed it. You got to stay all night at the hotel. Where was that at? Again, indiapolis, indiapolis, indiana or ohio it was. I think it was.

Lily:

I think the town split by two states. It was three hours away.

Bruce:

I think the town split by two states.

Lily:

It was three hours away, so I don't remember technically, but I remember just going.

Bruce:

Well, I'm glad you had fun. I was waiting for you to get back on the podcast and tell us all about it and you haven't done it.

Lily:

We skipped one of the matches because I really didn't care for it. It was just a tag team match and the same person won, so like they have been the past few days, so not very different, but we did see a really fun match. Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes went against each other, so that was fun to watch. It was also nerve wracking, though, cause he did the Alabama slam into a ladder.

Bruce:

Oh really.

Lily:

Yeah, basically it's when you put the opponent on your shoulders, so the opponent's back is facing this way and they're just right here, and then you go head first and slam them somewhere, and then that should knock them out enough for you to pin them and win.

Bruce:

And that's what happened.

Lily:

He got knocked into a ladder. The ladder broke in half and his face was just it's disfigured.

Bruce:

Blood everywhere on his face, oh yuck.

Lily:

It was probably scripted though.

Bruce:

Well, I'm glad you got on here today and helped us to do the podcast, do it live, and you got to update us.

Lily:

I did that's cool. So yeah, that was a big announcement. It's just I'm really excited to see what happens at WrestleMania. I'm not going it's in Las Vegas but I'm just excited to see what happens.

Bruce:

I love that highway sound.

Lily:

Thank you for that. That was a nice little noise, All right Well let's see, let's wrap it up.

Bruce:

Wrap it up. Yeah, let's don't say that, don't remember what we heard on that podcast. Yeah, we've got a couple more things to go over here. One is the news corner. News corner yeah, I don't think you've been on here.

Lily:

I haven't been on here in a while, yeah.

Bruce:

Sorry, what it is is.

Sunny:

We've got a News Corner that we Well, listen to him in the News Corner. I'm still here, Bruce, and I don't like that name.

Bruce:

All right, still here, bruce, and I don't like that name.

Bruce:

All right, well, he don't like that name, but I always go and pick a couple news stories to talk about and I call it the news corner, and you know, I'm hoping that one day we'll have some more comments about them and stuff from everybody.

Bruce:

Um, so one of the new stories was from the last episode where I talked about how the president trump was wanting to do away with the pennies. Oh, and I read the story from I don't, I think it was npr, I don't remember, but somehow I either got messed up on the reading part of it or they had misprinted it and I read it that way. But anyway, it talked about how many billions of pennies was made that last year I'm so sorry for that and how many dollars was spent, and it didn't add up in my mind. When I read it I kind of hesitated, but I went back and looked it up because I thought that can't be right and it wasn't um. So, um, I went back to do a retraction. I think that's what they call that in the real news world, when you go back and do a news story and you have to update update it.

Lily:

Yeah, we have a update. The hill got bigger. It's going to be larger than a baseball, so the hail got bigger well, it's not healing right now, but it it's that they said that it will be bigger oh, okay sorry to interrupt for the storm we're talking about that.

Bruce:

Okay, I'm going to talk about my retraction real quick. So the story was true. They made 3.2 billion of the pennies last year. The us mint did okay, okay, 3.2 billion, which, if they were doing it by a penny, that'd be 3.2 billion pennies.

Lily:

Why? Because a penny costs one cent.

Bruce:

No, it costs 3.69 cents in 2024 to make. Oh, so it's actually costing us three cents to make a penny which is supposed to be worth one cent.

Lily:

So we're losing money.

Bruce:

No, they're not lying. It's just how expensive it's got over the years to make that money. So that's the point that they were trying to make. So they reported the us reported, or the Department of Treasury that they lost $85.3 million on printing or making those pennies. See the article I read said $84 million is what they made. They got it backwards.

Lily:

Don't, we need pennies.

Bruce:

We don't, but we do. If everybody rounds off, we won't need pennies.

Lily:

But what if we're just going to do an example. What if you bought a turkey at the store and it was $8.01 and we didn't have any pennies? What would you pay with? We would have $10, $15.

Bruce:

Well, like I said, they'd have to round off, round off. Right now they round everything down to make it look like it's cheaper. So if you go in the store and buy a hundred dollar item, they actually mark it down to 99.99 to make your brain think, hey, it's cheaper but it's really not. It's still a hundred dollars yeah plus tax, which will probably be like 101 it'd be what's going where you're at, because, because, taxes changes.

Lily:

Very Right, because Canada they have, because that's why it says like on label, like if I bought a phone, it would say like US and Canada, canada's price would be higher than ours and we would be lower.

Bruce:

Yeah, well, that's until the tariffs get all messed up like they're doing right now. Yeah, but all messed up like they're doing right now. But anyway, that's what's going on and everything's based on that little bitty scent. And you know, if they take that away and just round everything off, we won't need pennies anymore. So I don't know what's going to happen or what's best. But I just wanted to fix that article because I read it and either I misread it or they wrote it wrong, but I didn't like it at all I mean you would think that like we might need pennies in our life.

Lily:

But like you said, sometimes we do, sometimes we don't well, we've used them all our life.

Bruce:

It's gonna be kind of hard not to yeah, sunny.

Lily:

What's your opinion on this?

Sunny:

uh, I don't have an opinion. I just know that it's getting late and the storm will be coming before long. Yuck, I don't know how I'll handle the storm and it being a frog. We'll see.

Lily:

Well, you know what I'm going to do. I'm going to charge every electronic that I have when I get home, just in case you know, and I'm going to turn on the TV and watch wrestling at 7. Hopefully I can still watch it at 7, because I really want to watch it at 7.

Bruce:

Yeah, I think the storm is supposed to hit about 8 or so.

Lily:

Okay, well, it lasts until like 8, sometimes 10, so it's crazy how long wrestling lasts. It lasts even longer because how long the match depends, it is you know whatever. But enough of my talking.

Bruce:

Well, I had an article that I was going to go over last Friday during the live, and it got all messed up, it went south. Yep, friday during the live, and it got all messed up, it went south. The article was about the new launch of the Sphere X. Did I say that right? No, it's Sphere S-P-H-E-R-E then X.

Sunny:

Oh.

Bruce:

It is an infrared observatory that they're putting out to space to help study everything.

Lily:

I'm pretty sure they sent a robot on the moon.

Bruce:

I was going to go over that too, but anyway, they actually were getting ready to launch it, or test launch it, last Friday when I was going to go over the article. Well, they've already put it up, so is that your phone? That's my mom, All right, well, I'll mute you.

Bruce:

All right, she's muted. Anyway, I'll go ahead and talk about that. March 11th, which was Tuesday of this last week, they actually put it up, blasted it off and put it up in space, so we'll see where that goes, or how that goes. And yeah, there was a moon landing. It was an independent group that landed on the moon If you can buy all this, it's called blue ghost and they uh announced on March the second that they'd landed on the moon. Um, it was uh. Yep, it was a, a NASA firefly aerospace uh group, so I guess we wish him luck. It was a NASA Firefly Aerospace Group, so I guess we wish them luck. Hopefully they'll do well, if you believe they actually got on the moon. It may be all a big game play, who knows? But that's the news. Hi, you're back.

Lily:

Mama is on her way. Well, that's good timing. Hi, you're back.

Bruce:

Mama is on her way. Well, that's a good timing because we're getting ready to wrap it up.

Lily:

So that's all the news I had for this wrap I didn't hear it, but I definitely will listen to this. If you do end up posting it, I will definitely listen. Well, here we're.

Bruce:

if the recording's not messed up, when I get it you might post it. I will. That will be your podcast for this week.

Lily:

Bruce:

Yep, and if this works out, we're going to do it more often.

Lily:

Bruce:

I got one other thing we want to go over before we sign off. So hang in there, just give me a couple more things here we want to say thank you to Kenzie, oh, or Mick Kenzie, I think was her name.

Sunny:

You're never serious. I'm the only one serious and I'm not crazy.

Lily:

Are you sure about that? Because you just lost, you just turned into a frog today that wasn't very serious, oh boy. I still can't get over that. Uh, I just can't believe that there's a frog right next to you.
